Our latest project… the Talking About Organizations Podcast Network
4 September 2018
One of the goals of TAOP is to use the podcast to make the study of organizations more accessible. Now we are using our podcast expertise to help other academics start their own podcasts and to promote their scholarship.
So who might be interested in starting a podcast? If you are part of a research centre/group and have interesting and valuable research to report on an on-going basis, then a podcast can be a useful promotional channel. If you hold seminars with inspirational speakers and would like to share those beyond just the attendees, a podcast is a great way to do so. Podcasts are an effective way of opening up your scholarship to a wide audience of global listeners. However, developing a podcast can require a steep learning curve and involve unforeseen challenges. The Talking About Organizations Network can help turn your podcast from an idea into a quality show!
Unlike traditional podcast networks, which exist to aggregate advertisement sales, the TAOP Network will help foster, develop, and disseminate research and conversations about management and organization studies to benefit the quality, accessibility and reach of these fields. The Network is built around the Talking About Organizations Podcast and all the experience that we have accumulated by producing it since 2015. Membership of the Network offers access to know-how, expertise, advice, podcasting and distribution infrastructure, hosting and backroom administration solutions, and more. We are here to support our peers who see the value of this medium for impactful knowledge dissemination.
For more information on the Network and how we can help you, your research centre, or academic department, check out our (new) website.

The Talking About Organizations Podcast News section is a supplement to the podcast. It provides our listener community with interesting news and content relating to management and organization studies, promotes related events and conferences, links to resources and materials touched on in podcast episodes, and also includes some fun features such as the organizational studies birthday anniversaries and humorous catchphrases from the pod.
If you love TAOP and all things org studies, then sign up to our monthly newsletter and comeback regularly to check the TAOP News.
